He noted that Africa’s strategic location grants it a distinguished position as a global gateway for trade, emphasizing that supporting supply chains and cross-border trade is fundamental to African economic growth.
Al-Shaafi called for expanding the scope of free and industrial zones across the continent to attract investments, diversify the economy, and create employment opportunities for youth, considering these zones vital platforms for accelerating development.
He announced Rahma Group’s readiness to establish a private free zone in southern Libya, confirming that the project will contribute to local economic development and enhance Libya’s integration into the African market.
He expressed complete confidence in Libya’s future, noting that Libya possesses all the necessary components to become Africa’s gateway to the world thanks to its geographical location and natural resources.
In conclusion, Mr. Al-Shaafi renewed Rahma Group’s commitment to supporting economic and social development efforts across the continent, and confirmed the Group’s continued cooperation with governments and regional and international partners to build a promising future for all African peoples.
